A4950KLJTR-T
Allegro A4950KLJTR-T full-bridge DC motor driver, 8-40 V and ±3.5 A peak, AEC-Q100 Grade 1, in an 8-pin SOIC with exposed pad.
The A4950KLJTR-T is an Allegro MicroSystems A4950 DMOS full-bridge motor driver for pulse-width-modulated control of brushed DC motors, in a low-profile 8-pin SOIC package with an exposed thermal pad. It is capable of peak output currents up to ±3.5 A and operating voltages up to 40 V, with input terminals for controlling the speed and the direction of a DC motor through externally applied PWM signals. Internal synchronous rectification control circuitry lowers the power dissipation during PWM operation, and the device provides an adjustable PWM current limit for the motor. The protection suite includes over-current protection, motor lead short-to-ground and short-to-battery protection, under-voltage lockout, crossover-current protection and thermal shutdown with hysteresis, so a fault is handled without damage. This K-grade device is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and rated over -40 °C to +125 °C, which suits automotive and industrial actuators, and a commercial E grade covers -40 °C to +85 °C. Typical applications include motorized actuators, building automation, robotics, DC EV charging, personal electronics and in-cabin motors. Every driver BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you set the current limit and plan the thermal design.
FAE Professional Review
The A4950KLJTR-T is a compact, protected full-bridge for a brushed DC motor, and the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 temperature range makes it suitable for automotive and industrial actuators. Set the PWM current limit below the motor and driver ratings, keep the exposed pad on a good ground plane for cooling, and use the synchronous rectification to keep the dissipation down. It is a natural partner to an ACS712 current sensor for load monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions
What projects suit the A4950KLJTR-T?
It suits a brushed DC motor that needs PWM speed and direction control, such as an actuator, a pump or an automotive in-cabin motor. It drives up to 40 V and ±3.5 A peak with a full protection suite, and the K grade is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified.
Set the current limit below the motor and driver ratings.
How do I set the PWM current limit?
Set the current limit with the sense resistor and the reference voltage so the peak motor current stays within the motor and driver ratings, and check the thermal margin at the peak. Synchronous rectification keeps the dissipation down during PWM.
Our FAE team can review the current limit and the thermal design.
Is the driver genuine and documented?
BeiLuo supplies factory-traceable A4950KLJTR-T drivers with an import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS file on every order. Stock is normally available and the datasheet downloads from this page.
